About My Weather Station and its location
The
hardware:
The weather data provided on this website is provided by a Davis Instruments Wireless Vantage Pro Weather Station. The station was put into service on March 17, 2002 and has worked wonderfully since then.
The software:
The Data is then converted into tables and digital images, packaged up and FTP'd to this website via Ambient Virtual Weather Station (Internet Addition) every 10 minutes.
The location:
The weather station is located in North Bend, Washington, on the south side of Interstate 90, between Exits 31 and 32. The approximate latitude is: 47 degrees, 26 minutes, 50 seconds North. The approximate Longitude is 121 degrees, 40 minutes, 8 seconds West. The approximate altitude is 670 feet above sea level.
Readings:
Due to the location of the anemometer currently (6 feet off the ground), wind speed and peak gusts are not representative of the winds experienced in downtown North Bend. Once I can procure a 40' ladder, the anemometer will be placed on my roof and will be far more accurate in providing wind data for the Snoqualmie Valley area.
