BUS 3542 AUTUMN 2000 DR. REGINA P. SCHLEE Problem 1 – DUE ON OCTOBER 13 – IN CLASS Chapter 5 in your textbook discusses various projective techniques that can be used to explore respondents inner feelings and bring to light additional insights about someone’s motivations. In this course, we will be discussing the following projective techniques: word association tests, sentence completion, story completion, cartoon tests, TATs, Photo sorts, consumer drawings, and third-person techniques. To complete this assignment, you must do the following: 1. Select a topic that is relevant to SPU students: chapel, sports, the bookstore, dining services, parking, national elections, etc. 2. Use 2 projective techniques to develop a test intended to evaluate student perceptions. Please pretest your techniques first to ensure that you can get meaningful responses from students. 3. Ask 10 students to respond to your projective tests. If you want, you may also want to ask them a few questions to place their responses in the proper context. 4. Tabulate and analyze the results. What insights do you draw from your research? 5. Besides having a very small sample, what other problems do you perceive with the projective techniques you used? Maximum number of points possible: 100
