Due: Monday, Wednesday 6
Create a 11 x17 (landscape) print out of your process of naming you conference.
Examples of Student Naming Boards (pdf)

First, review your design brief, audience and visual audit boards. It is important to create a clear and concise message, just as it is important to create a unique and enticing message. I would encourage you to limit your conference name to one-three words. Once you have developed your name you will create a lock-up that is used throughout the promotional materials. The lock-up is composed of two elements, the logo-mark and the logo-type.

The best way to create your board is to start broad and to brainstorm several naming options (include this process on your board); narrow down your word choices and then try it out on one or two people to see if they understand the message you are trying to convey (include this process on your board); and include a paragraph of rationale on how you came up with what. Hopefully once you get through these stages you have created a great name for your conference and can begin creating your Lock-Up.
