Welcome to Japan!

10/12/03 by Eriko Tanaka (Japan), Eri Tsunoi (Japan), Yuki Ukemura (Japan) and Jiro Yamaguchi (Japan)

We finally found a real Japanese restaurant. It is a rare and exquisite restaurant in Seattle. Its food tastes really authentic. Its prices seem quite reasonable. Its atmosphere feels relaxed, even if it is crowded. Its service is pretty good, because there are kind and polite people. Don’t worry about this review. The Japanese people are particular about Japanese food. We are gourmets. Please trust me! It will fill your appetite and heart. You should go to YOSHINOBO!

Japan in Seattle

“Is this Japan?” I felt about it when I sat down at the table. It was a very comfortable and calm space. The style of the restaurant was very Japanese, such as Japanese tea rooms, a sushi counter, serving free tea, and not too bright. The ornaments there were also Japanese, for example, a shop curtain, magazines and folding fans. In addition, it was not noisy or crowded although it was lunch time. I had an illusion that I was in Japan even though it was full of customers who are from many nations. You could be in Japan for a little time without taking an airplane. I can assure you that Yoshinobo is as Japanese as I am.

Service

How awesome the service is! The servers are totally polite and helpful, and they always care about their customers. When I visited there, the server, a Japanese girl, served tea and the dishes to me with a good attitude. Additionally, the service time was perfect. It was not too fast and not too slow. It reminded me of Japan. And on top of these, it was a clean restaurant. You will certainly feel cozy because of the excellent service and the nice environment.

Typical delicious Japanese food

The food of Yoshinobo is delicious Japanese traditional cuisine. It has many Japanese dishes, and they taste real. For example, Sabashio is one of the delicious dishes. It includes grilled mackerel, salad, an appetizer, rice and miso soup. The grilled mackerel is not too salty, and it has the perfect amount of oil. Moreover, all the dishes are an appropriate temperature. For instance, the miso soup is hot. The amount of dishes is enough for Japanese, it is not too much and not too few. There are some Japanese beers, Asahi, Kirin and Sapporo. Of course they are popular in Japan. You can have real Japanese food and beer there. In addition, the prices are normal. For example, the average lunch is around $7.50. It is not expensive. In conclusion, the restaurant Yoshinobo is a really nice Japanese restaurant. If you miss Japanese food in Seattle, I recommend going to Yoshinobo.
