Northwest Flute and Piccolo Forum
About the Masterclass
This five day masterclass for advanced flute and piccolo players will feature both masterclasses and private lessons on piccolo and flute with two of the world's finest piccoloists and orchestral musicians.
Zart Dombourian-Eby and Walfrid Kujala will focus on standard solo and orchestral repertoire for piccolo and flute, including the Vivaldi piccolo concertos.
All performers will perform in masterclass settings with each instructor and have a private lesson with each as well. Other guests will be on hand to offer workshops, including a presentation by Keefe Piccolos, Yoga for Flutists with Sarah Ogmundson, and pedagogical tips from Sandra Saathoff.
The class will be limited to fifteen performers, with an unlimited number of auditors welcome. Auditors may attend all sessions, which include optional private lessons with SPU faculty, Sandra Saathoff. Class may be attended daily or for the entire week, and will be offered for 1 – 4 credits or 8 – 40 clock hours, depending on attendance. Other activities include a guest artist recital, mock audition experience, and final recital. For more information please email Sandra: flutes@spu.edu
